Well it has been a very busy month with demand strong across the board. We have secured lettings for a range of properties including three properties in Gnosall which all let within the first seven days of marketing. This tells me that demand for rural properties is strong and one of these has been let over two months before the current tenant vacates, the old adage that it is never too soon to market a property certainly applies here.
Newport remains popular with tenants secured for properties including at the larger end of the market a four bed three storey house at £795. Elsewhere we have secured lettings on a two bedroom house in St Georges at £575pcm, a three bedroom house in Muxton at £750pcm which was let to the first viewer and most recently the demand for a re-furbished three bedroom house also in St Georges was staggering with no less than fifteen requests for viewings.
The fact that a number of these properties has let quickly is in some small part down the fact that if you manage a tenant at the end of the tenancy you are more likely to cut down time between tenancies. Many of the above properties are fully managed and experience has guided us to work with tenants when they are vacating a house. In addition to our three monthly written inspections we provide tenants with a useful end of tenancy guide and offer to meet them when they vacate to hand the property back. This open communication leads to a smoother handover.
